日光東照宮
1617年為德川家康公的陵墓而興建的日光東照宮的主要祭祀的是江戶幕府第一代征夷大將軍德川家康公,另外相殿也配祀太閤豐臣秀吉公,以及鎌倉幕府第一代將軍源賴朝卿。建築精雕細刻,金碧輝黃,日本風格的明陽門和中國風格的唐門是其代表建築,豐富的歷史古蹟,使日光東照宮在1999年被列入世界文化遺產。
Rinno-ji is a Buddhist temple built in 766 and is part of the "Shrines and Temples of Nikko", which was designated UNESCO World Heritage. It had strong ties with the Tokugawa family which ruled Japan for over 250 years during the Edo period.

神橋與山口縣錦帯橋和山梨縣猿橋並稱為日本三大橋。鮮豔朱紅色的神橋是日本指定重要文化遺產,也在1999年12月被登記為世界遺產。神橋之所以奇特,是因為據傳766年勝道上人為了修練而前往二荒山時,被大谷川的急流阻擋而無法前進。當勝道上人念經求神明保佑時,深沙大王出現,用紅蛇綠蛇各一條把兩岸連結,使得勝道上人順利走到對岸,因此有「山管蛇橋」的別名,也讓神橋如此的神聖。現在的神橋雖然不能通行,但古時候的神橋是除了將軍、勅使、行者以外不得通行的。現在的神橋是二次重建後的,因為他過去曾經被洪水沖垮過一次。
